Gleam of Light

When we began discussing our winter newsletter, the idea of light was offered up as a possible theme. In this season of great darkness (winter) that can threaten to overwhelm us, and in the wake of the celebration of the incarnation of the Light of the world, we strive to hold the duality of the joy of Christ’s birth with the ultimate reason for His coming in the flesh: His death and resurrection. May your heart also be kindled by the light of Christ through the long nights of darkness that are still in our future.

Courage for Community

When we were brainstorming possible themes for the first newsletter, we soon settled on community. Not all of us have a physical community of like-minded homeschooling families around us, but when you interact with our community we want you to feel seen, encouraged, and loved. As you read through this edition, we hope you enjoy the variety of offerings within – from an example of recitation, to beautiful artwork,  to a map highlighting the location of Charlotte Mason groups in the Pacific Northwest.
